Angel’s Gate Advisory is an appointed i.JAM Reload incubator under the National Research Foundation (NRF) of Singapore. This program aims to support budding technopreneurs with up to S$250,000 in government grants and co-investment of angel / pre-seed funding and grow their startups into profitable growing businesses.

Funding is broken down into 2 applications:
Tier-1: S$50,000 technical development grant
Tier-2: S$100,000 technical development grant + S$100,000 co-investment

Angel’s Gate Advisory does not take sweat equity or payment for Tier-1. Visit Tri5 Accelerator for co-investment.

   What we provide for free
  • Grant Preparation – Up to 5 hours to develop, conceptualise, strategise and mock presentation practices for expert panel committee approval.

  • Advisory and Mentorship – Methodology on business 3-year strategy, financial planning, go-to-market strategy and investment pitching.

  • Sponsorship Package – Free value-added services (incubated space, cloud hosting, PR advisory, IP advisory) worth US$100k to help defray operational costs.

  • Syndicated Follow-on Funding – Introductions to partner seed incubators to access and collaborate in a syndicated follow-on funding.

How to become an Angels Gate Advisory incubatee

   How The Funding Process Works

STEP 1: Review our eli­gi­bil­ity cri­te­ria (column on right)
To be eli­gi­ble for our ser­vices, your ven­ture must be in an idea or angel stage that has devel­oped a product or will be devel­op­ing prod­ucts or pro­grams in the inter­ac­tive dig­i­tal media industry.

STEP 2: Prepare a Company Pitch Deck
You will need to provide a company pitch deck, telling us about your team, your product and your current needs. We’ll want to know what challenges you currently face and how you hope Angels Gate Advisory can help. This document must be submitted when you complete an iJam Funding application form

STEP 3: Advisory and Engagement
If you meet our eligibility criteria, we’ll engage you and set up a meeting to meet and review business and your goals. Based on your needs and the stage of your development, we will work with you to develop a plan and get you moving in the right direction.

   Eligibility Criteria

Please review the checklist below, before signing up.

  • The company entity has to be incorporated in Singapore.

  • The company must be at least 40% owned by Singaporean citizen / PR founders. Total Founders ownership must be at least 80%.

  • Two founders need to be named, with 1 being the technical founder. The technical founder must provide relevant technical expertise and skills.

  • Both founders must be full-time (students currently studying full-time are not considered). Free incubation space is offered on AGA office.

  • The business should be developing products in the interactive digital media industry, eg. Mobile applications, web applications, digital content, media content related. Services like web-hosting or provision of hardware equipment do not apply.

  • The business must be scalable beyond Singapore, where at least one new key market can be identified.

  • The business must show a technological innovation to current market practices or carve a new niche play in the market.

  • The entity must not have more than $200,000 and 30% investment / convertible notes / call options or any vested interest in the company by non-founders.
